Delicious homemade food. Great value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a late and 1/2 sandwich (coronation chicken) and soup, which came with homemade coleslaw 2 slices of thick bread crisps and side salad.

I’m originally from Barrow and was up visiting my family. I haven’t been to the Fig Tree since I was a kid but much prefer going to local owned places. The Fig Tree didn’t let me down. Very smiley team, incredibly clean and very quick service. Eat local you won’t regret it!

We were visting Barrow for our first time for a Motorcycle rally and after a stroll into town we were looking for somewhere to have a reasonably heathy lunch and were lucky to find the Fig Tree. The soup and sandwiches were well presented, tasty and filling, service was great and with a friendly touch even though we were strangers , my double espresso was better than any offering from the big coffee chains too.

I’m an Asian man I normally have spicy food but I love to taste different food. I went to this place for breakfast and I had toasted sandwiches with bacon cheese etc…. Service was exceptional, the staff incredibly good. The food was out of this world. I recommend to anyone this cafe.
